Wound care
What is it?
Wounds are not only physically taxing — they can severely restrict daily life and carry a raised risk of infection. Regular, professional treatment by trained nurses therefore matters a great deal.
What we do
We take care of acute and chronic wounds properly, in your own home. Our state-registered nurses hold specialist qualifications in modern wound management and make sure healing is supported as well as it can be.
Which wounds do we treat?
- Chronic wounds (e.g. pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome)
- Post-operative wounds following procedures or surgery
- Acute wounds after injuries, falls or accidents
- Infected or slow-healing wounds
- Wounds with drains or catheter exit sites
Who pays?
Wound care forms part of medical care under SGB V and is prescribed by a doctor. Once approved, the cost is normally covered by your health insurance fund — usually at no extra effort or expense to you.
